Mr. Yeoman brings over 35 years of financial expertise to Georgetown Development Partners.
Mr. Yeoman began his career with formal commercial credit training as a Credit Analyst at the First National Bank of Maryland, where he subsequently rose to Commercial Loan Officer, providing commercial real estate loans, term loans, and lines of credit middle market businesses.
Mr. Yeoman’s banking career spanned 14 years where he provided financing for real estate construction, acquisition, and development in and around the Baltimore -Washington DC corridor. This included funding for the newly built luxurious Baltimore Marriott Waterfront – Harbor East as well as for the expansion of several prestigious religious institutions in the Baltimore area.
Mr. Yeoman transitioned from banking to community development when he joined Peoples Involvement Corporation, a community development corporation committed to promoting and administering community services and programs that contributed to social development and economic growth. Mr. Yeoman’s focus was to bring economic and financial resources to a designated disenfranchised area. in Washington DC resulting in capital for business expansion and façade improvements.
Subsequent to his banking career Mr. Yeoman joined Interior Systems, Inc. (ISI) a DC based company as their Chief Financial Officer and VP of Administration. ISI specializes in real estate consultation, program and project management, logistics and facility support. Here Mr. Yeoman developed an infrastructure to track all financial activities and transactions and restructured the company’s overall administrative responsibilities. This resulted in a new accountability that assisted in guiding and tracking the company’s subsequent years of exponential growth. Revenues experienced an increase of 300% during Mr. Yeoman’s tenure.
Mr. Yeoman began his consulting career in 2008 where he provided project and program management, business financial planning, financial analysis, compliance auditing, and technical assistance to businesses and government entities. Using his expertise in credit and financial analysis he performed a credit and risk review for the entire United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Guaranteed Rural Rental Housing Program (GRRHP) 538 Loan Program portfolio. The program was designed to increase the supply of affordable rental housing for low- and moderate-income individuals and families in eligible rural areas and towns. The program offers a ninety per cent guarantee on loans to for profit developers and ninety seven per cent to nonprofit entities. Given the potential for significant credit exposure Mr. Yeoman was engaged through T.Curtis and Company, PC to determine the portfolio’s risk profile so USDA could develop a mitigation strategy.
Mr. Yeoman also performed reviews to determine whether participating lenders were ‘ in compliance with the laws, regulations and policies governing the GRRHP.
During this period Mr. Yeoman joined Georgetown Development Partners and began working with a low income equity housing cooperative successfully performing as owner’s representative to improve the standard of living and quality of life for its residents. This project along with the changing demographics in Washington DC created a passion for preserving and creating affordable housing.
Mr. Yeoman holds a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance from American University and a Bachelors in Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Public Administration from Georgetown University both located in Washington DC.
Mr. Yeoman’s past civic engagements include a gubernatorial appointment as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Prince Georges Hospital Center and a second gubernatorial appointment as Chairman of the Board of Prince George’s Community College the two largest public entities in the county in which he lives. Mr. Yeoman has also served as an Advisory Board member to the Butler Wyatt Boys and Girls Club in Washington DC.
